Why does Orpheus sing so beautifully, and why must he not turn around? On 30 April 2023, Forum neue Kunst brought the Greek myths to where they belong: right into the middle of a young audience. In two performances at Oldenburg’s Sophienkirche, two works written especially for the occasion were heard — the premiere of “Orpheus – Superstar!” by Johannes Dörr and a new composition by Christoph Gützkow, who was also at the piano himself.
The performers were Martha Eason and Brianna Meese (soprano), Dinah Möller (piano), and Anton Eilinghoff.
